Alternative Crops Specialist Dr. David Suchoff and Organic Commodity Associate Hannah Moshay will be highlighting three up-and-coming alternative crops in North Carolina: sesame, organic sunflowers, and hemp for fiber. With the decline of organic tobacco production in the area and the need for rotational crops in systems that are deer resistant, these alternative crops are great options to turn to for operations in the area!
