NC State Global Celebrates 2020 and 2021 Outstanding Global Engagement Award Recipients

Drs. Brian Jackson, Miguel Castillo and Bill Hoffman were celebrated as finalists for the Outstanding Global Engagement Award in 2020 and 2021 during the award reception on April 28. The Outstanding Global Engagement Award encourages and recognizes exceptional accomplishment in globally engaged teaching, research, extension, and/or engagement and economic development.

Dr. Miljan Erbez: Development Projects in Agriculture

Mike Jones: Carlson Award Recipient 2020-2021

Mike Jones, recent graduate of the Economics Graduate Program has been nominated for the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award which also means he is the recipient of the 2020-2021 Carlson Award. Mike's dissertation provided timely analysis on the use of genetically engineered insects to make farming more profitable in places like the Philippines.
