Please make note of deadlines for your admissions application now, so the deadline doesn't sneak up on you.

Fall application deadline for freshman applicants

First Deadline

October 15: Application deadline

January 30: Applicants will be notified of the admission decision

May 1: Deadline for admitted students to submit the Advanced Enrollment Deposit (AED) to confirm enrollment

Final Deadline

January 15: Application deadline

March 30: Applicants will be notified of the admission decision

May 1: Deadline for admitted students to submit the Advanced Enrollment Deposit (AED) to confirm enrollment

Spring application deadline for freshman applicants

October 1: Application deadline

December 1: Applicants will be notified of the admission decision

Submit all materials by each application deadline to receive a decision on the corresponding notification date.

Spring application deadline for the Spring Admission Program

Students who apply to CALS during the fall of their senior year may be accepted for spring admission and start classes the spring following high school graduation. To learn more about the new Spring Admission Program, visit our Freshman Admissions page.

  • October 15: Early action deadline
  • January 15: Regular decision deadline
  • March 30: Applicants will be notified of the admission decision

Materials Required for Admission

  • Create a wolfPAW account for announcements, invitations, and to track application status
  • Application (submit via Common Application or Coalition Application)
  • Application fee ($85 for domestic/$100 for international)
  • All academic transcripts (submit via Common Application or Coalition Application)
    • Include high school transcript(s) and college transcript(s) if you participated in dual enrollment or an early college program
  • Official SAT or ACT scores
  • Any miscellaneous materials requested on a case-by-case basis by NC State Admissions staff (e.g. foreign transcripts, green card, residency forms, email replies to inquiries, etc.)
