Bio

Manuel Kleiner researches the metabolism, physiology, interactions and evolution of host-associated microorganisms to understand how microbial communities assemble and how they impact the health and resilience of their hosts. To advance these studies, he develops and using advanced meta-omics approaches such as high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metaproteomics. Current investigations involve plant-microbe interactions in corn, wheat and Lotus japonicus.
