Kuzma’s scholarship focuses on responsible governance of emerging technologies in agriculture and the environment; interdisciplinary social science methods applied to study science and technology policy issues; risk analysis and multi-criteria decision making; policy processes; responsible research and innovation; societal and ethical implications of emerging technologies. She serves as co-cirector the Genetic Engineering and Society Center and associate director of NSF ERC Precision Microbiome Engineering (PreMiEr).
