Ali C. Gurbuz’s research integrates signal processing and machine learning to develop intelligent sensing systems for radar, remote sensing, and wireless communication applications. His work emphasizes physics-aware and explainable AI, end-to-end learning-based sensing architectures, radar and array signal processing, and spectrum sharing between communication and sensing platforms.

In the context of precision agriculture, his group develops data-driven solutions for agricultural decision-making through UAV-based remote sensing, ground-penetrating radar, and passive sensing technologies that utilize signals of opportunity.
