Alyssa Degreenia’s love for agriculture and pigs developed in her home state of Maryland where she was an active 4-H member. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science (2014), a master’s degree agricultural extension and education (2016) and a doctoral degree in agricultural extension and education with an emphasis in agricultural leadership (2018). While a graduate student, Degreenia worked in the Agricultural Institute where she found her passion for educating students in the agricultural industry.
