Plant, Insect, Microbe and Soil Systems
Our Systems At Work
Plants, insects and soils work together to give us the food, fiber and fuel we need. That’s why we study them in a single science-based system.
Plant, Insect, Microbe and Soil Systems includes the departments of Crop and Soil Sciences, Entomology and Plant Pathology, Horticultural Science, and Plant and Microbial Biology. Our faculty and students work with six leading research centers and programs to provide the science that keeps agriculture growing.
The result? Extended growing seasons. Higher yields. Better nutrition and enhanced sustainability that benefits growers and consumers alike.
