North Carolina Agricultural Foundation

The North Carolina Agricultural Foundation accelerates progress in research, education and Extension within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University.

Our Mission

The North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, Inc. (NCAF) was incorporated on November 24, 1944 in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a non-profit, charitable, 501(c)3 corporation as a means of supporting agricultural research, Extension and teaching activities in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University.

900+ Scholarships Per Year

CALS annually administers more than 900 undergraduate and graduate scholarships, totaling more than $2 million.

NCAF Priorities

CALS is committed to advancing agricultural education, research and Extension by investing in its people, programs and facilities. Attracting and retaining leading faculty and graduate students drives innovation and research commercialization, while expanding undergraduate access creates pathways for North Carolina’s students to enter agriculture and life sciences careers.

Private support is key in enhancing teaching efforts, improving research facilities and expanding NC State Extension’s services across North Carolina. NCAF works alongside alumni, friends and industry leaders to fund scholarships, fellowships and programs that directly support workforce development. These initiatives equip NC State students with the skills to address industry challenges and lead progress in the agriculture and life sciences fields.
