The Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) Program is essential and very important to the Science and Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability (STEPS) Center [https://steps-center.org/. Undergraduate Researchers have the opportunity to work on independent research projects within the Center under the mentorship of STEPS Scholars and faculty.

The STEPS Center is proud to host the first annual REU Showcase with the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering (BAE), and the North Carolina Plant Sciences Initiative (NC PSI).  The showcase will feature research posters prepared by each participant. Representatives for each research project will be on hand to answer questions about their emerging and ongoing exploration of Phosphorus related recovery and sustainability. These discussions are designed to identify and define potential future research directions and opportunities to partner with the Center.
