N.C. PSI Graduate Student Awards 

The N.C. PSI Graduate Student Awards celebrate interdisciplinary achievements in science and research and will be funded via: Norma L. Trolinder N.C. PSI Graduate Student Endowment David M. Peele PSI Graduate Student Support Fund. These $4,000 awards will be awarded to N.C. PSI-affiliated graduate students, interested in science engagement and mentorship (being mentored and offering mentorship). Awardee’s are expected to participate in the PSI Mentor Program (at least 1 meeting/year), serve as a mentor for the NC Youth Institute Mentorship Program, and present at the 2027 BRIDGE Symposium.

Application Deadline: June 5, 2026

Recurring Summer Workshops for Undergraduates

The Office of Undergraduate Research offers a summer workshop series specifically designed to cover the foundational needs of any summer research program. These workshops will be held on Tuesdays 9:00-10:30 a.m. in Williams Hall Room 2215, with topics remaining consistent from summer to summer so that you can plan around them. See table below for details on each weekly workshop.

Volunteer at the Agroecology Education Farm

Come volunteer at the Agroecology Education Farm. This is a great opportunity to work on the farm, learn about sustainable farming, spend time outside and tour the farm. You are welcome to come alone, bring a friend or a group of friends. If you have questions about the volunteer workday, please contact Sara Snyder, farm manager, at sasnyde4@ncsu.edu.

NC State Sustainability Career Development Program

N.C. PSI’s “Spotlight on Growth”

Did you know there are over 400 undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs that are affiliated with the N.C. PSI -all doing incredible work!! In an effort to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of students and postdocs across PSI, we are introducing a new spotlight series: “Spotlight on Growth”. Every few weeks, we will introduce you to one student or post-doc and share some brief facts about their research and themselves. Additionally, these spotlights may be shared on N.C. PSI social media throughout the year.
