PackTrac

Helping you prepare for the high-quality academic programs at CALS.

PackTrac is a collaborative program with North Carolina community colleges to provide academic training and advising to students who are passionate about agriculture and have a desire to earn a degree at NC State.

Is PackTrac for You?

PackTrac is open to students immediately after completing high school or for first-semester community college students who have completed less than 20 credit hours of college work.

Benefits

Admission – Successful participation in PacTrac guarantees you admission in the following CALS departments or majors:

Assistance – You will receive guidance and academic advising from the CALS advising team and the chance to connect with your department of interest.

Awareness – Gain exposure and experience related to the many careers in agriculture and life sciences. This industry accounts for more than 17 percent of the state’s income and employs 17 percent of the workforce.

Upon successful completion of at least 30 transferable credit hours (in recommended courses by the CALS advisor), with a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.0, you will be admitted to a CALS major at NC State.

Only the departments or majors listed above are eligible for this program. Once you transfer to NC State University, credits will reverse transfer to your NC community college to complete the degree requirements for an associate’s degree.
