Access – successful students in the program will be admitted to NC State University in selected ag-related programs.
Advising – students in the program will receive specialized academic success training and academic advising from both CALS and their NC Community College. A general advisor in CALS as well as a departmental advisor from their major of interest will be assigned.
Agriculture – students in the program will learn about all aspects of agriculture and the life sciences to be leaders in North Carolina’s agricultural industry. Agriculture includes food, fiber and forestry, and contributes $84 billion to the state’s economy. This industry accounts for more than 17 percent of the state’s income, and employs 17 percent of the work force.
