The 2019 Youth Market Turkey Show was held at the North Carolina State Fair and hosted by the Prestage Department of Poultry Science.
On June 14, 2019, youth ages 5-18 years old, from across the state of North Carolina each picked up 3 poults (baby turkeys) at our university farms, to them home and hand raised these birds, brought their best market hen to be shown at the 2019 NC State Fair on October 18, 2019. More information about this program can be found at go.ncsu.edu/ymts
You now have the opportunity to support these youth farmers and poultry youth programs by purchasing one of these birds or give back by purchasing one to donate to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a local, non-profit organization addressing hunger in our community.
