NC State Compost Facility Tour
March 22 | 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm EDT
Join us for a tour of the Compost Facility and Research Cooperative, and learn about NC State’s closed-loop organic waste management system. Our facility processes all of the organic waste collected on campus into a nutrient-rich soil amendment that is utilized in the campus landscape and at the Agroecology Farm. If you’ve ever wondered where the items go that you put in the compost collections on campus, this tour is for you.
The tour is outdoors, so please wear close-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
If you need directions to the Compost Facility and Research Cooperative, call Sara Bassett at 828-367-8632.
