Numerical Modeling of Vadose Zone Processes using HYDRUS and its Specialized Modules

The Biological and Agricultural Engineering department is pleased to welcome Dr. Jirka Simunek to NC State University. Dr. Simunek is a Soil Physicist/Hydrologist and Professor, Department of Environmental Sciences, University of California-Riverside, and an expert in the fields of water and solute transport through porous media. He is the developer of the widely used HYDRUS model. Among a number of additional awards, he was most recently elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2016.
