Graduate Student Teaching Awards

Overview
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award is given annually. The award recognizes teaching excellence by graduate students teaching assistants in the College. Criteria for selection will include evidence of teaching effectiveness, academic scholarship, dedication, and enthusiasm for professional development.

Eligibility
Nominees may be master’s or Ph.D. students and must have taught at least two semesters. Nominees must be in good academic standing.

Nomination and Selection
Please follow all instructions on the first page of the nomination paperwork. Nominations should be submitted in PDF format to kcbettin@ncsu.edu. Late submissions will not be reviewed.

The CALS Teaching and Advising Awards Committee selects the award recipients. Nominees who have gone above and beyond the tasks typical of a teaching assistant will be strongly considered.

The winner will receive a check for $1,000.

Graduate Instructor Teaching Awards

Overview
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences awards an Outstanding Graduate Instructor Award annually. The award recognizes teaching excellence by graduate faculty in the College. Criteria for selection will include evidence of teaching effectiveness, academic scholarship, dedication, and enthusiasm for professional development.

Eligibility
Nominees must be CALS instructors and must have taught at least two semesters at NC State University.

Nomination and Selection
Please follow all instructions on the first page of the nomination paperwork. Submit nominations in PDF format to kcbettin@ncsu.edu. Late submissions will not be reviewed.

The CALS Teaching and Advising Awards Committee will select the award recipients.

The winner will receive a $500 check.
