Through PACK ASSIST, NC State’s scholarship application portal, undergraduate, Agricultural Institute and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students complete a single application and are automatically considered for more than 800 CALS scholarship opportunities. It’s the easiest way to maximize your scholarship potential.

Newly Admitted Students

The CALS Scholarship application is required and is accessible after admission, February 1. Those who complete the CALS Scholarship application and complete the FAFSA by March 1 will automatically be considered for university-level, need-based academic scholarships.

Tips for FAFSA:

• File the FAFSA early. While the priority deadline is March 1, our financial aid staff can begin working on your aid package as soon as possible if you file early. You do not need to be admitted to NC State to have your financial information sent to us.
• File the FAFSA even if you don’t think you will qualify for need-based awards. 
• Take your time and answer every question on financial aid and scholarship applications.
