Youth Programs

It’s never too early to start training the next generation of leaders. That’s why we’re committed to providing opportunities for youth development, especially through North Carolina 4-H. From the Youth Market Turkey Show to the 4-H Avian Bowl Competition, our programs are designed to help children of all ages develop the skills they need to succeed. Opportunities abound. Poultry Science Summer Institute

Ever wonder what it’s like to be an NC State student? The Poultry Science Summer Institute is a great way to “try us on for size.” Designed for high school students interested in careers in the poultry industry, our Summer Institute is a week-long overnight workshop that provides hands-on learning experiences and valuable information on educational disciplines, scholarship opportunities, careers, and industries related to poultry science.

North Carolina 4-H

4-H is the largest youth organization in North Carolina, with more than 208,000 participants. Guided by the “Head, Heart, Hands and Health” credo, 4-H’ers gain leadership, citizenship and life skills.

Spend a Day at State
