Stephen Meyers is a two-time graduate of the NCSU Department of Horticultural Science (’09 MS, ’12 PhD). After graduation, he spent nearly seven years at a Mississippi State University experiment station and served as the state’s sweetpotato extension specialist. In Fall of 2019 he returned to his undergraduate alma mater, Purdue University, to become an assistant professor of horticulture crops weed science. Dr. Meyers will share his experiences across three land-grant universities and his appreciation for the interconnectivity of teaching, research, and extension.
