Bobby G. Wilder and Jack R. Lamm Horticultural Scholarship Endowment

Bobby Wilder met his life partner and dear friend Jack Lamm in 1958. Bobby and Jack traveled worldwide, and some of their favorite travel included England’s Chelsea and Hampton Court flower shows. Bobby is a passionate gardener and was a good friend of J.C. Raulston. Jack began an interior design business in 1967 and later co-founded Century Framing Limited with Bobby. Jack had a real “joy for life” and loved to entertain and tell stories! He enjoyed being an Arboretum volunteer, especially stuffing envelopes and sticking on mailing labels because he could sit for hours with other volunteers and tell stories.

The income from this endowment will be used to equally fund a minimum of two scholarships for two undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Horticultural Science.  Preference will be given to students who have received the Bobby G. Wilder JC Raulston Arboretum Internship and the Jack R. Lamm JC Raulston Arboretum Internship and who have served as these interns at the JC Raulston Arboretum.
