Soil Sampling for Routine Nutrient Analysis
Join Melissa Bell from the Center for Environmental Farming Systems and John Lyttle, an NC Cooperative Extension agriculture agent, for an in-person Soil Sampling for Routine Nutrient Analysis event. Learn why it is important for the health of your soil to sample for routine nutrient analysis. Bell and Lyttle will demonstrate how to take and submit a soil sample to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture Soil Fertility Lab for routine soil analysis. They will also review how to read general soil analysis and how these results may impact plant production.
This free event will take place indoors and outdoors. Participants will take soil samples, so please dress comfortably and wear shoes suitable for walking on grass or uneven ground. Registered participants will receive parking information.
