CALS Alumni for Student Success

The CALS Alumni and Friends Society and CALS Academic Programs have partnered to connect our large and dedicated alumni base to the college through the CALS Alumni for Student Success (CASS) Program. The initiative serves two purposes: to develop an alumni recruiting network and to provide career coaching for students.

Make a Lasting Impact

Working with my student has inspired me. She’s focused on achieving her dreams and is dedicated to reaching them.

Career Coaching

CALS alumni can sign up as career coaches to guide and inspire students toward defined career goals for a nine-month commitment.

CALS Career Services will pair you with a current CALS student, allowing you to build a one-on-one relationship and provide information, advice and encouragement. As a career coach, you can:

  • Share your professional expertise.
  • Become a career champion.
  • Connect students to industry networks.

Career coaches can also participate in networking events and informational panels hosted by CALS Career Services.

Recruiting

Alumni can volunteer as local recruiters, helping prospective students discover CALS majors and opportunities. As a recruiter, you’ll help students understand how CALS aligns with their academic and career aspirations.

Recruiters serve as a point of contact in their area for prospective CALS students by attending local events to promote CALS to schools and community groups.

By promoting NC State and CALS in your community, you’ll be a part of an alumni network that recruits students across North Carolina.

Alumni, sign up to be a career coach or recruiter:
