Bio

Oluwafunmilayo (Funmi) Olabode transferred to NC State University as a Spring Connect student in 2023 to pursue a nutrition major, inspired by her upbringing in a family of healthcare professionals. While surrounded by a medical-focused environment, she developed a strong interest in the preventive aspects of health through nutrition and aspires to become a dietitian.

Funmi is a marketing assistant for CALS Career Services, creating content to promote career resources and events. As president of the Nutrition Club, she leads initiatives that support students’ professional development in nutrition and wellness through networking and skill-building opportunities.

Beyond academics, Funmi is passionate about public health, entrepreneurship and content creation. Since 2019, she has organized annual Christmas visits to orphanage homes in Nigeria. She is committed to storytelling, outreach and fostering meaningful connections in the community through nutrition.
