Eric Continues on His Research and Learns How Small the World is

Written by Eric Schneider

This week I began my second set of experiments testing the resistance of L. lactis to antimicrobial peptides. The work is productive and the people here are beyond kind. I’ve started to play a game called Frontenis with some of the guys from the lab on Thursdays. It’s a sort of mix between tennis and racquetball. Last weekend in Gijón had absolutely perfect weather and I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to come across some Chapel Hill students on their way back to the States. This weekend I’m also traveling to Valencia to see the city and meet with other NCSU students studying at the Polytechnic University. It should make for an unforgettably good time.
