Winter Symposium: The Obsessive Gardener
February 17 | 9:00 am - 12:30 pm EST
Plant people are an exceptionally passionate bunch. Of course, obsessive may be the more accurate word, but we’re a bit too preoccupied with plants at the JC Raulston Arboretum to notice the difference. Whether you call it passion or obsession, this fact remains: The love we have for the natural world is just too expansive to keep to ourselves. Join us for the Winter Symposium at the JCRA so we can share our love, passion and obsession for gardening with you. The symposium will feature the following presentations:
- “Confessions of a Plant Nerd” by Joseph Tychonievich, a gardener, writer, speaker and plant breeder.
- “Transforming Landscapes: Food Forests for Gardens and Communities” by Catherine Bukowski, a researcher, author, designer and consultant.
- “Topiary Therapy: Healing Through Creative Pruning” by Mike P. Gibson, a topiary artist and educator.
- Submit an event to the University calendar
Be sure to select the department “College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.” Events submitted to “College of Agriculture and Life Sciences” will be reviewed and added to the appropriate calendars.
