November 19 | 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EST

The Public Health Food Inspections course in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences will host a seminar series featuring experts from the Food and Drug Administration’s Human Foods Program and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. This series aims to provide insights into careers in public health food inspection and emphasize the importance of safeguarding public health. Students will have the opportunity to engage with professionals and learn about opportunities in regulatory science.

The session on Nov. 19 will feature North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler. Since taking office in 2005, Troxler has focused on developing new markets for N.C. farm products, preserving working farms and protecting the state’s food supply. He also serves on the boards of the N.C. Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation, the Rural Economic Development Center and the N.C. Biotechnology Center.
