2024 Mtn Hort Field Day 75th Anniversary Celebration

The Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center invites you to the 2024 Mountain Horticultural Field Day. Join us in commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station, founded in Mills River, North Carolina, in 1949. Your presence will add to the honor of this milestone.
Come for the entire day or pick just a portion of the day to join us. Admission is free. Enjoy a complimentary lunch from a local Henderson County caterer, and make a tomato sandwich in the tomato fields. Here is the agenda for the day:
- 8 a.m. Registration opens
- 9 a.m. Apple orchard tours
- 11 a.m. Tomato field tours
- 1 p.m. 75th celebration lunch (free and open to the public)
- 2 p.m. Nursery and specialty crops field tours
- Submit an event to the University calendar
Be sure to select the department “College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.” Events submitted to “College of Agriculture and Life Sciences” will be reviewed and added to the appropriate calendars.
