Bio
Current research by the Kim Lab is focused on nutritional interventions to manage mucosal microbiota, mucosal immunity in the small intestine, especially through maternal nutrition or directly to young pigs. The Kim Lab has investigated intestinal health biomarkers and mucosal microbiota for their relation to the growth of nursery pigs based on one of the largest databases built by its own research. In addition, the Kim Lab has long-term research investigating the role of functional amino acids and the ideal protein for pigs. Research publications from the Kim Lab has been cited extensively: Please visit Google Scholar for the updated publications from the Kim Lab.
