Bio
Current research by the Kim Lab is focused on nutritional interventions to manage intestinal health and growth of pigs, especially through maternal nutrition or directly to young pigs. The Kim Lab has investigated intestinal health biomarkers and mucosa-associated microbiota for their relation to the growth of nursery pigs based on one of the largest databases built within the lab. In addition, the Kim Lab has long-term research investigating the role of functional amino acids and the ideal protein for pigs. The Kim Lab has published over 220 peer-reviewed papers cited more than 16,000 times by peers (Google Scholar). Please visit the Kim Lab.
