Join David Andow, a new executive committee member for the Genetic Engineering and Society Center and head of the Department of Applied Ecology, for a deep dive into the ecological and evolutionary influences on genetic engineering, spotlighting key moments from the 1980s to the 2000s. Andow will describe the enduring impact of the case-by-case evaluation of GMO risks, with a focus on challenges raised in critical NatureĀ articles from the early 2000s. The lecture will be held in person and via Zoom. A link for Zoom will be provided following registration.
