Our department offers rigorous academic preparation and extensive student support to ensure your educational and professional success. Our programs have over 50 tenured and non-tenure-track faculty and 75+ graduate students as well as outstanding post-doctoral researchers, visiting scientists and staff.

Research is fundamental to graduate training. You will gain experience in our laboratories and conduct field projects in a variety of pursuits, from virology and mycology to public health and climate science. We engage students through symposiums and seminars and encourage professional development through mentoring, internships and industry affiliations.
