Park Receives CALS Outstanding Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professor Award

We would like to announce that Travis Park, professor and program coordinator for the agricultural education program, has been awarded the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Outstanding Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professor Award at NC State. The award, coordinated by the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost and the Office of Faculty Development, is one of the most prestigious undergraduate awards at NC State.

This esteemed award recognizes Park’s outstanding contributions as an educator, researcher, and leader within the academic community while highlighting his exceptional contributions to graduate education and positively impacting students and colleagues alike. Park’s dedication to excellence in agricultural education has not only enriched the educational experience at NC State but also nationwide as he serves as director of agricultural education for the National FFA Organization

In the words of the Agricultural and Human Sciences Department Head Ben Chapman, “Dr. Travis Park’s contributions to graduate education have been meaningful, multi-faceted, and impactful. Park has positively impacted our online teacher licensure graduate certificate program, our on-campus and distance-delivered master’s and doctoral degree programs, and advising and mentoring graduate students. His efforts have enhanced both non-traditional and traditional graduate students.”
