In our department, we educate students in agriculture and human sciences, find solutions to problems and extend knowledge to create healthy communities for youth and families. Our graduates teach in formal and non-formal settings, work with nonprofits and community and government agencies, and are employed in various positions of agriculture and human sciences sectors. In our department, you will learn from a diverse group of faculty and experts across many fields who are all focused on improving the lives of farmers, families, youth, individuals, and communities.

Undergraduate Programs

Agriculture involves a range of disciplines beyond the local farm. Many graduates travel the globe—delivering agricultural advances to farmers around the world. Students can choose one of three majors toward a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.

Are you interested in enhancing your academic interests? We offer two undergraduate and one graduate minors as well as one undergraduate and five graduate certificates.

Master’s Programs

Ready to design, administer and teach research-based educational programs and support systems to boost your community? Diversify your existing knowledge by pursuing an advanced degree in Agricultural Education and Human Sciences with four concentration areas: Agricultural Education, Agricultural Leadership Development, Extension Education and Family and Community Sciences.

Doctoral Program

Our Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Agricultural and Extension Education is a rigorous, research-based program designed for students who want to pursue careers in higher education or administrative positions in educational settings or government.
