Bio

Academic Advisor: Dr. Ramon Malheiros

Mikaela Heggenstaller earned her bachelor’s from Tarleton State University and her master’s from Texas A&M – Commerce. She’s worked in the poultry and feed industry since 2018. Her work includes designing quality & evaluation programs for feed mills & ingredient suppliers, analyzing commodity markets, establishing contract specifications, and formulating poultry & livestock diets. Her experience and research interests are primarily in niche organic markets, which face unique and historically underrepresented challenges. Her research aims to provide practical solutions for specialty management systems in feed manufacturing and live operations.
