Bio

Academic Advisor: Dr. Peter Ferket

Brendan Heinichen earned his bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in agricultural communications from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) and his master’s degree (M.S.) in nutrition from North Carolina State University. He is currently pursuing his PhD in both poultry science, and nutrition, with a certificate in data analytics. He has conducted research in metabolism and currently doing research in growth modeling, with a focus on commercial turkey production. He worked in poultry live production for ten years and for the past six years has been working for a global animal nutrition company.
