September 29, 2021 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT
Would you like to create a perennial food forest in your backyard?
Join us and a panel of agroecology and permaculture experts for a FREE virtual event on Wednesday, September 29th at 6:00pm to learn about food forests and design ideas for small backyard spaces.
We will take a look at the newly planted perennial food forest at the North Carolina State University Agroecology Education Farm and learn about edible and beneficial plantings for different forest guilds. Experts from NC State’s Agroecology Education Farm: Daniel Holloman, Assistant Farm Manager and Dr. Michelle Schroeder-Moreno, Agroecology Education Farm Director and Interim Co-Director of the Center for Environmental Farming Systems, with special guest, Dr. Anne Spafford, Permaculture and Landscape Design Professor in the Department of Horticulture, will share resources, discussion, and permaculture techniques to help bring a perennial food forest to your backyard!
