England & Scotland: Global Food Systems

The United States and the United Kingdom are intertwined culturally, economically and politically. Participants in this program will have the opportunity to acquire first-hand knowledge of livestock and crop management practices, sustainable farming methods, local and regional food systems, and agritourism in Scotland and England. Students will tour a variety of small and mid-size family farms and will meet with representatives from prominent agricultural organizations and universities including the Moredun Research Institute in Scotland and Harper Adams University and the USDA in England. In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience Scotland and England’s rich cultural heritage.
