After over 24 hours of traveling, 3 planes, and 2 buses, we finally got to Villaviciosa. I was unable to sleep very much through all of it, so my jetlag was pretty bad when we first arrived. However, the first night I was able to get some much-needed rest and by Friday morning felt back to normal, so we went out to explore the town (which is absolutely adorable.) We enjoyed some good food in a bar and then went to the supermarket to buy groceries for the week, in what should have been a ten-minute walk that turned into thirty because we got a little lost. Everyone has been really helpful and patient here, even though no one speaks English and I have only a limited knowledge of Spanish. My favorite thing that we have done was a nice hike we took yesterday that led us to a beautiful 13th Century church, from the top of which was an absolutely amazing view!
