On November 28-December 2, 2016, NC State University was delighted to host Dr. Eduardo Fuentes, the coordinator of research for the Universidad Agraria La Molina in Lima, Peru. Dr. Fuentes visited as part of an existing three-year Silvopastoral project in collaboration with Dr. Miguel S. Castillo from the Forage and Grassland Program at NC State. The Silvopastoral project investigates ecosystem services from 10 silvopastoral systems in the Amazonas region of Peru. The project was funded through a competitive grant process by the government of Peru, World Bank, and Inter-American Bank of Development.
Dr. Fuentes met with Jose Cisneros, director of CALS International Programs and several other faculty members to discuss future collaborations between the institutions.
