The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University is proud to announce the launch of Growing Our Future, the CALS 2023-2030 strategic plan.

The strategic plan was created over the last two years from over 11,000 points of stakeholder input and many interviews, focus groups and listening sessions. The planning process kicked off with a bold charge: to create the best place to learn and work for everyone and create the best land grant in the country.

Growing Our Future supports our vision to create sustainable social and economic prosperity and well-being for the state, nation and world through agriculture and life science discovery, learning and engagement. At the center of the strategic plan is three focus areas: People, Programs and Innovation, which connect to 10 strategic priorities, 17 goals and 63 key initiatives aimed to elevate and guide the college to achieve its highest potential. Growing Our Future closely aligns with the goals and aspirations of the university’s strategic plan and the new NC State Extension strategic plan.

But this is just the beginning. Now, it’s time to put the plan into action. Stay tuned for more information and updates related to the implementation of the strategic plan starting this year.
