Call for New Interim Assistant Director for Student Success

The CALS Academic Programs Office is searching for an interim assistant director for student success through an open call for interested faculty.

Rhonda Sutton, who has served in this role, was named assistant dean for professional development at The Graduate School starting Feb. 1. The Academic Programs Office is grateful for her support in leading student success programs for the past year.

With Sutton’s exciting news, we are searching for a new interim assistant director for student success. This position will work closely with Kim Allen, interim associate dean for academic programs. The responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assist the academic associate dean and the Academic Programs Office
    • Represent the Academic Programs Office on committees
    • Prepare communications, including letters of support and emails to partners
    • Represent the college at events
  •  Involvement in CALS clubs and organizations
  • Lead student success initiatives
    • High-impact practices coordination
    • Mental health and wellness
    • CALS student awards

The position will buy out a faculty member’s time up to 30% for a minimum of six months and up to one year.
