CALS Honors

Do you go above and beyond to get the most out of your education? Do you want opportunities to connect and grow your skills?

The CALS Honors program will inspire you to take ownership of your education, explore your passions, and pursue your academic goals beyond the classroom.

Students who meet GPA and program requirements are invited to apply to the CALS Honors Program.

The CALS Honors program helps students to:

  • Build connections with faculty and other students
  • Identify and take action steps to reach goals
  • Expand thinking and doing
  • Learn more about their strengths and leadership
  • Improve communication skills
  • Be prepared to succeed
  • Get recognition for their accomplishments

Honors Symposium

The Honors Symposium is the culmination of students’ hard work in the CALS Honors program. At this event, students showcase and present their projects to peers and mentors.

In partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Research, honors students submit an abstract and a poster or oral presentation. Students collaborate with faculty mentors to create their symposium materials.
