CALS Administration is pleased to announce the Administrative Faculty Fellows for 2023. “We are excited to launch the Administrative Fellows program,” Interim Dean John Dole said. “We look forward to the energy and ideas that the inaugural class will bring to CALS.”
The fellowships will be for a one-year period and will require around 10-20% of effort. Deliverables and output are expected from each Fellow at the end of the one-year term.
CALS Well-being and Belonging Fellow
Jackie Bruce is a leadership educator and faculty member in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences.
The CALS Well-being and Belonging Fellow will work to enhance and promote well-being and belonging initiatives for faculty, staff and students and take the leadership of the CALS Wellness Council.
Extension Fellow
Stephanie Ward is an assistant professor and Extension dairy specialist in the Department of Animal Science.
The Extension Fellow has the flexibility to offer a new project idea or work on an idea from Extension based on office needs.
NCARS Fellow
Aaron Kiess is the Braswell Distinguished Professor and poultry Extension specialist in the Prestage Department of Poultry Science.

Academic Programs Fellow
Praveen Kolar is a professor of agricultural waste management in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
The Academic Programs Fellow will partner with the CALS Academic Programs office to assess student professional skills and alignment with today’s workforce needs. They will analyze and identify an improved system to provide data for decision-making workforce needs.
