In honor of her dedication and hard work for the Center for Integrated Pest Management (CIPM) at North Carolina State University, Ms. Clarissa Spencer is awarded the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Pride of the Wolfpack Award. The Pride of the Wolfpack is awarded to NC State employees who show great leadership, quality of work and overall excellence.

Hired in 2012, Ms. Spencer has been essential to the success of CIPM. She continually shows support for many people and ongoing projects as well as improving daily operations at the center. Her dedication as well as professionalism is integral to onboarding new employees and serving as the coordinator for more than 40 projects within CIPM.

In six years of service, she has helped CIPM grow from 35 to over 65 employees who rely on her every day. Ms. Spencer continues to grow in her profession and seeks new opportunities to assist the center. Ms. Spencer is the first face that greets visitors on a daily basis. She is warm, welcoming, and willing to go beyond the call of duty. In addition to her outstanding service, she also helps to promote employee morale by donating her time to the Social Committee and its mission within CIPM. Her patience and helpfulness are admired and appreciated by everyone at CIPM.

When surprised with the award, Ms. Spencer replied, “I always strive to do my utmost no matter what.” Congratulations to Ms. Clarissa Spencer and her commendable achievements!
