Scotland and England: Agricultural Production Systems and Culture

Ireland-SustainableFarm

The “Scotland and England: Agricultural Production Systems and Culture” program will allow students to acquire first-hand knowledge of livestock and crop management practices and agricultural production methods in the host countries, Scotland and England. Students will learn about the most pressing factors affecting the current global food system and how these impact agricultural production and food security in the United States, Scotland, and England. By experiencing the rich culture of the two host countries, students will develop a more informed knowledge of how historical events, culture, and government policies can shape the path of agricultural production and the viability of food systems.
