Evaluating the presence and proportion of fungicide resistance mutations in North Carolina Phytophthora capsici populations while also creating a comprehensive diagnostic panel for P. capsici management in on-farm water systems.
My research is focused on exploring genomic differences between physiological races of Phytophthora nicotianae, the pathogen responsible for the disease black shank of tobacco.
