• Conduct fruit and vegetable experiments, collect data, and supervise field crew.
• Monitor seasonal insect populations in apple orchards in multiple counties through scouting, trapping, and degree-day modeling.
• Create and update websites and other outreach materials with information about insect activity, population trends, and degree-day modeling, as well as publishing fact sheets and current news for commercial growers and the general public.
• Analyze research data and prepare reports.
• Support county extension personnel through data delivery, insect specimen and damage identification, and outreach.
