Research Interests

The goal of my research is to identify species of Pythium causing root rot and stunting of wheat in North Carolina, and to better understand how cultural factors influence disease development. Additional work includes characterizing Pythium spp. associated with other winter-grown crops (clary sage, rye, winter cover crops) to understand how crop rotation and seasonality influence populations.
