Bio
I am a Statistical Consultant for CALS at NCSU. Although DEPP is my home, I provide statistical services to any students, faculty, or staff in CALS. The main purpose of the consulting services is to collaborate. A statistician can be practically useless without a domain expert. The goal is to engage in a dialogue to produce quality research that incorporates the expertise of both the statistician and the domain expert. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the research I have experience with. Please reach out to talk about any interesting problems you are working on!
Interdisciplinary Research:
-Agronomy and Horticulture, Entomology, Animal Science, Plant Pathology, Food Science, Environmental Studies, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, University Libraries, and Sociology/Psychology
Statistical Research: Variable Selection, Distance Metric Learning, Ordinal Classification, Deep Learning Based Ordinal Classification
Areas of Interest:
Design and Analysis of Experiments, Generalized Linear Mixed Models (GLMM), Nonlinear mixed models, Statistical Inference, Predictive Modelling, Various Machine Learning Topics, High Dimensional Data Analysis, Distance Metric Learning, Deep Learning Applications
