Bio

Sabrina’s research focuses on evaluating genetic outcomes of brook trout restoration efforts within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As a member of the Mamoozadeh Lab, the goal of her MSc thesis is to use genomic data to better understand translocation success and inform future management efforts. She is enthusiastic about the use of genetic methods by fisheries professionals to conserve biodiversity in the context of climate change.

Sabrina received her BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources from West Virginia University. She has worked with various salmonid species before starting at NCSU, including lake whitefish and sockeye salmon, but brook trout are still her favorite.
